Wisdom 2009 SR2 is out!

From the New-Hotness dept. Today, June 30th, Service Release 2 for RES Wisdom is out. As usual it is available to customers with Solution Assurance (SA) for download at the RES Portal. Gartner and PowerFuse

From the ‘Cause-Gartner-Said-So dept. In case you need some extra material to convince the boss (or yourself) that RES PowerFuse is the coolest thing since sliced bread, a new Gartner paper highlights PowerFuse as, quote:

“PowerFuse is currently the most complete user-profile-based product (but also does much more than personalization), and supports user-installed applications (with user access rights).”

Anyway, you know the drill – if you want the rest of the scoop you have to pay. The paper is called “Why, How and When to Personalize Hosted Virtual Desktops” written by Mr. Brian Gammage. New or changed knowledgebase articles

As of today, new or changed knowledge base articles are available on the RES Software Solution Assurance Portal. These articles refer to PowerFuse, Wisdom and The RES Subscriber (Agent)/RES Powerfuse Workspace Extender.

RES Wisdom 2009 Prometric exam online

From the Get-yerself-RES-certified-dept. Monday June 15th, it was announced from RES Education that the latest RES Wisdom2009 Basic exam is online at Prometric. The test number you are looking for is RWBX-200. To book your RES tests, just head on over to Prometric via this direct link and book it. The list price here in the UK is about £95.

RES KnowledgeBase opened up for search engines

Today we got word from RES HQ that the RES Knowledgebase is now being opened up to public access and indexing by Google and the other search engines out there. In effect this means it will now be even easier for you to find solutions, tips and all sorts of useful RES information straight from the source!

As there are many legacy articles which needs to be either updated or scrapped, this is a continuous work in progress as new articles are added on a regular basis. As of right now there are over 300 articles available. If you do a search on HOWTO for example, you will get over 150 interesting articles to browse.
