Currently, I am developing software for a client that uses powershell on most of their workstations. The software behaves correctly in Windows. However, powerfuse does not support the default docking that Windows support (for example: see this link for a demo application that uses docking).

Is there a way to support docking in the powerfuse shell? If so, how can I accomplish this?

Thanks in advance!

Do you use the RES PowerFuse shell or Windows Shell in the RES PowerFuse session?

When using the RES PowerFuse Shell there's a pexplorer.exe instead of explorer.exe active in the session. So when an application depends or relies on explorer.exe, this may result in unexpected behavour.

So the best practise is to test in the RES PowerFuse session with the Windows Shell.

Good luck

Thank you for your reply.

I have no experience with powerfuse before. I have no process called pexplorer or explorer, only when I start Windows Explorer, I get a process called explorer.exe (which is normal in Windows).

If I analyze this correctly, my client uses PowerFuse Shell in the PowerFuse session. I think this because there is an "application manager" in my system tray, custom start menu, etc.

As you can see in the attachments, the software in the PowerFuse shell overlaps the other windows. In the Windows shell, it correctly docks at the top and moves the other windows down.

I think you should call RES and ask them if the Powerfuse shell supports docking.
I think the docking mechanism is an explorer-shell function.
