Isn't that great?

RES PowerFuse is not a client-server application. It fully installs on all machines you want RES PowerFuse to operate on, be it a server, a laptop or a workstation. Don't worry, the Console will only be available to those who have a Security Role within RES PowerFuse once the users are in a RES PowerFuse session.

At the PowerFuse console you can specify a default shell (Microsoft or RES). This is a setting for the PowerFuse managed "Desktop" application on all Citrix servers which host this Desktop.

However, you can make exceptions on the default shell. This can be done from the node Desktop Management > Shell. When opening the help file (just press F1) on this item you find this text:
"By configuring adding exceptions to the default shell, you can specify which users are allowed to use a non-default desktop shell. You can configure exceptions based on OUs, groups, users, security roles, languages, Workspace Containers and PowerZones."

If I can give you one tip: The PowerFuse help file is great! When you have questions about something while you are working at the PowerFuse console, just press "F1" and there is a big chance your question will be answerred.

Caution,

If you don't configure anything on the Citrix server the users will not get a RES PowerFuse desktop. The easiest way is to publish the RES PowerFuse Desktop from the Citrix Integration node of the RES PowerFuse Management Console. For other ways to start a RES PowerFuse Session you can read this Knowledge Base article:

Have fun.
