I've posted a new blog detailing a simple Wisdom module to send you an e-mail alert if your TS/Citrix servers have their logins disabled.

You can find it here: http://wp.me/ptR1v-5W.

Building block is attached.

Hi Alain,

I've read your article and I loved it. Still I was wondering why you split it up into two tasks. The first task is all about checking the condition and setting a parameter. In fact, you didn't even describe what kind of action you configured in the first task. I reckon that if you put that condition in the Send Mail task you don't need the other task at all. Is there a reason you use two rasks for this?

Thanks,

Rob.

The first task is a registry query on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon.  I examine the value of WinStationsDisabled.  Based on the that value, I set the module parameter LoginsDisabled.

The value of LoginsDisabled determines if an e-mail will be sent in the second task.

I hope I answered your question.  Let me know if this makes sense.

Thanks,
Alain
