Hi,

Anyone know more on how RES is going to support Windows 7, and when ?

As Windows 7 is the big hype at the moment, I would think that RES needs to move "fast" and fully support it...

didn't try Wisdom yet on my test pc at home.
But I think Windows 7 is supported, as there are no major changes in security if you look at Vista.

Right, but actually I can't seem to find any articles discussing Vista and Wisdom. I mean with the UAC and stuff. So perhaps it was "time" for RES to publish such an article?

Since RES Wisdom acts as a system process it isn't bothered much by UAC.

Windows 7 is already fully supported for RES Wisdom 2009 with the latest Service Release.

If you want to disable UAC, this can be done easy via the registry and no change in RES Wisdom is needed for it.

Disable UAC with Registry Editor (RegEdit)

Run Registry Editor (RegEdit).
Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Locate the following REG_DWORD value:
EnableLUA

Set the value of EnableLUA to 0.

Optional step to suppress UAC consent prompt dialog, locate the following REG_DWORD value:
ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin

Set the value of ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin to 0 (optional).
