Rob,

Don't forget that the RES Workspace Management Console gets its connection details from the same registry key thst is used by the Agent Service to connect to the database. So that rectifies the fact that the Console always opens to that database by default. In the RES WM Console you have the option to connect to a remote database (File > Connect to remote database) which information is saved giving you the opportunity to switch between databases rather easily. This information is stored in the user's registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RES\Workspace Manager\DBMRU1 so with a little enginuity you can add a few preconfigured database connections to your Management Console Application in RES Workspace Manager.

Why the same functionality is not available in RES Automation Manager beats me, perhaps because connecting to a different database might result in your console automatically starting to upgrade or downgrade if the other database has a different version.

Rob.
