Hi
My setup is Xenapp 4.5 with published applications on W2K3. My PF is 2010 version 9.0.4.1 SR4. The Citrix main silo has Office 2010 installed.
One server has office 2002 installed along with a helpdesk system. When I open a case in the helpdesk system, and try to open an attached word og excel document, the word or excel from the main silo tries to open the document. What I want to do is open the document with word/excel 2002. I have tried to work with File Types, but I get conflicts with office 2010.
What I want is to keep the office application launch "inside" the same server as the helpdesk system. Can anyone help?

Regards
Niels

Hi Niels,

Welcome to the forum! You need to ensure that the file type association for Word 2010 is not applied to the session running on the Word 2002 machine.

It sounds like you need to create a PowerZone to ensure that the Word 2010 application is not applicable and the file types are not registered (but only on the Word 2002 server). Create a PowerZone that only incorporates the Word 2002 server and make sure that you add a "NOT in this Zone" rule is applied to the Word 2010 application.

Does this make sense?

Regards, Iain
