Hi everybody and Happy New Year.  Ut’s going to be an exiting 2010, with new upcoming products and technology. During xmas, RESguru got back into the game, resulting in a load of new articles being posted to the technote library. Also new buildingblocks are being produced and uploaded these days. Here’s a quick exerpt from the Technote Library what’s there.

RG01F: Getting rid of the first-time login stuff: This article describes how to rid yourself of the first-time setup stuff which users normally experience when logging on to a computer for the first time. A buildingblock is included.

RG01E: Dealing with Mandatory Profile crap: In this new article we take the fast track through setting up mandatory profiles for use with a managed environment. If you haven’t done mandatory profiles before, or it’s just been a while, these things can potentially be a pain in the butt to deal with, hence this article.

RG01D: Global settings in RES PowerFuse: This document was kindly shared by one of the friendly folks at RES UK. The document examines the usage of the registry to change some of the global configuration items in PowerFuse 2008

RG01C: How to Hack and Protect Managed Laptops: In this security article, we take a close look at the methods an advanced user may utilize to gain access to a managed laptop. We also look at the appropriate countermeasures which can defeat these attacks.

See an overview of these and all the other articles in the Technote Library
