  • RES Networking Groups

Posted on September 27th, 2009 Yuri Haak No comments

linkedinFrom the Let’s-get-Organized dept. Over the last couple of years, many interest groups related to RES products have been formed. This article is to give you an overview of the currently available groups at this date. Note: We’re not going to update the membership numbers in the future. This is just a snapshot in time, where the groups are at present.

At the moment I’ve only covered LinkedIn as it’s the only site I’m active on. There may be other RES related groups  on other networking sites. If you know of some, please comment on this article and drop a link. Remember, some of the groups may have special requirements which you must fullfill in order to join.  Otherwise, just click on the group logo’s below to view the details and request to join: Read the rest of this entry »

  • Group for the Guru’s

Posted on April 25th, 2009 Yuri Haak No comments

breaking-news-sHello fellow Guru’s. It is a pleasure to announce the creation of a LinkedIn group for RESguru.com. This is a way for you to signify your affiliation and/or support for RESguru.com. If you like RESguru.com, please feel free to join the group here.

On another note,  we’ve nuked the KB archive link on the top menu of the blog and put in a direct link to the RESguru Forum. With a whopping total of two cached articles, the KB archive wasn’t really going anywhere and some of you asked for a better Forum link on top instead – well you got it! :)

Things will start to take off shortly again… Give it a week or so and we’ll be back – better than ever!

  • How to setup RSS feed on your phone

Posted on January 17th, 2009 Yuri Haak No comments

icon-rssAs show in the sidepanel on the right, WordPress offers the blog updates as RSS feeds. Iit probably would make sense to explain how to get it working. If you have a RSS reader on your phone, you can keep up to date with the latest postings on RESguru.com wherever you are.

This has only been tested on a Symbian based Nokia phone so far. It seems most of these have RSS readers built into the web browser. Here’s how to configure it.

    • Start the webbrowser on your phone
    • Go to bookmarks and select the folder Web Feeds
    • In the menu, goto Manage Feed | New Feed
    • In the Titlefield, enter RESguru
    • In the Address field, enter http://resguru.com/feed
    • Save, go back to the menu and select Refresh

There is an alternate feed for comments located here: http://resguru.com/comments/feed

  • Hello and welcome!

Posted on January 3rd, 2009 Yuri Haak No comments

Hello everybody – Happy New Year 2009 – and welcome to the RESguru Blog.

Okay, so what the heck is this then? Well, chances are that you might know this already as you are likely to have been brought here by Google :-) Anyway, please alow me to elaborate: The RESguru blog is about all things RES Software. These guys make the most awesome software designed to wrangle all sorts of Windows environments , known as RES PowerFuse and RES Wisdom (and lo and behold, a new product called RES Orchestra is on the way this year!)

So, what will this blog offer you? Why spend your already precious (and likely billable) time here. Well, the aim is to provide a place where you’ll find all the cool stuff from the field, what you actually can do with PowerFuse and Wisdom.  We want to share  knowledge of the products with you all.

First of all, let’s just get the legal stuff out of the way. This blog not in any way associated with or represent the views and opinions of RES Software. This site is just like SoftGridGuru.com Anything you find in here is of the mind and opinion of the authors. Nuff said.

As we go along we’ll be opening up the doors and welcoming any additional contributors.  For now, please allow a couple of weeks for the content to be populated.
