From the sharing-is-caring dept. RES has kindly given the usergroup permission to republish a set of technical feature guides for different aspects of the products. This is not marketing speak, this is real tangible, hard information which basically answers the questions: So what’s this feature good for anyway? What can I use it for? Nothing more – nothing less. Below is a sumary of the documents along with download links. Click on the PDF icons to download the docs.
RunBook Feature Profile. This document describes the differences between RES Wisdom Modules, Projects and RunBooks and gives practical examples on how they can be used.
Snapshot Intelligence Feature Profile. Examines RES Software’s patented technology in Wisdom, which allows you to maintain a consistent changepath for any Windows PC.
Building Blocks Feature Profile. How you can use BB’s to move settings from one environment to another and how you as an Integrator may benefit from re-use.
Partly Managed Workstations Feature Profile. This feature of PowerFuse allows users to install software on their own accord, while remaing within a managed environment
Read-Only Blanketing Feature Profile. With R.o.B you can protect vial areas of the local harddrives. This document shows examples on TS and latops.

RES Feature Profiles

RES Software has been kind to offer first glance to the RESug community of a set three new documents, so called Feature Profiles. These first documents describe in-depth the posibilities with some aspects of Wisdom. The documents are freely available for download below:Run Book Feature Profile. This document describes what Run Books are and how you can use them.
Parameters Feature Profile. In this document you will find various tips on how to best use Module, Run Book and Project Parameters
Snapshot Intelligence Feature Profile. Here is a really good description on how you can utilize S.I. to manage the state of any Virtual or Physical environment.
