			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="size-full wp-image-1595 alignleft" title="flying-oinker" src="http://www.resug.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/flying-oinker.jpg" alt="flying-oinker" width="50" height="35" />After a long wait waiting, RES is now opening up it&#8217;s KnowledgeBase for search engine indexing. Yes &#8211; we&#8217;ve heard the drums before as it&#8217;s been in the works for quite a while. Unfortunatly it was a bit delayed due to the Google indexer bot was choking on  something. Anyway, in the immortal words of Mr. Janssen: <strong>This has been fixed!</strong> Providing updated info directly from the source is a great service towards the integrators and end-user customers, who will benefit from having RES knowledge and howto&#8217;s available through the usual search methods.</p>
<p>Note: At this time of writing, only one article is available, but that&#8217;s just until the Googlebot does another fly-by (give it a few days or so, the Internet is getting rather big, ya know :-).</p>
<p>You can check up on the progess of the indexing by using <a title="Search for pages containing &quot;Knowlege Base Article&quot; on RES's support site" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=site%3Asupport.ressoftware.com+%2B&quot;Knowledge+Base+Article&quot;&amp;btnG=Search&amp;meta=&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=" target="_blank">this special Google search link</a></p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Update 04-Dec-2009</strong></span>. Since the posting of this article there is today a total of <strong>104</strong> articles freely available from the RES knowledgebase. It&#8217;s going slow because the content of the RES kb since day one have been rendered on request from a database. This means there are no static pages available to be indexed unless they are created. This will take some time to get done.</p>

All customers with SA (Solution Assurance) have this. Don&#8217;t worry! You won&#8217;t get spammed to death, as the resulting update emails are cummulative. On the right is an example of how such a update post may look (click to enlarge).</p>
<p>The nice thing is that every link in the email point&#8217;s directly into the KB, so once you&#8217;ve got a browser window open, where you have already authenticated, you will be zipped straight to the KB article.</p>
<p>Right, so how does one configure it? It&#8217;s easy:</p>

<li>Go to the My Profile tab at the top</li>
<li>Look for these settings as shown below:</li>
